Hillcrest Academy opened in August, 2005 with eight students in grades K-12, three paid staff and faculty, one full-time classroom volunteer, and a volunteer board of directors who met monthly to review progress, manage the academy’s business affairs and plan growth. The following year, services and staff expanded to include PreK-4. Christie Lane served as Principal from 2005 until 2008. Nancy Jones served from 2008-2015. Lisa Yaunk is our current Principal.

We encourage students of every ability, and our experienced staff are uniquely equipped to minister to their needs while guiding them through the ACE curriculum at a self-pace they can manage with greater success than they may have had in other school systems. We are not equipped to handle behaviorally challenged children.

Morning chapel services are held in the sanctuary. Sunday School rooms function also as classrooms, and the students enjoy lunch together in the fellowship hall. Our aim is to set students on paths to living spirit-filled lives of joy and service wherever they are called.
